Is a small, remote Aboriginal community 230 km west of Alice Springs nestled at the end of the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges.
Ikuntji Artists enjoy a national and international reputation for the rich visual language of their abstracted landscape paintings which celebrate their desert country and culture.
Originally the women assisted their husbands with their painting, but they set up the Ikuntji Women's Centre (as it was known initially) and realised their desire to paint their own stories.
